Hamachi (Play LAN games over internet)
I found this tool, Hamchi that essentially allows you to play LAN-only games over the internet. It works if you have multiple computers behind a LAN playing with a computer or computers on another LAN.
Essentially, you want to download version 1.0.1.5 from here (because it installs a virtual network adapter and this fails sometimes with the most recent version), install it, run it, push options, preferences, "detailed configuration" button, set TCP & UDP ports to something, then forward those ports to your computer via your router. Do the same thing, but with different port numbers, for every computer behind your LAN. Disable or have your firewall allow those ports. Have someone start a Hamachi network and join it, and all the status indicators should be green stars, although pings might not work. Start your game & host it. Everyone should be able to see it and join it :)
Marcel & I tried this with two computers on one LAN and one computer on a different LAN, all computers were able to join a Warcraft 3 game (after I allowed this through my firewall when prompted and Marcel disabled his).

Ah good ol Hamachi. My friend introduced me to this, you can do quite a bit with it as well. Using Hamachi at work, my friend is able to access his internet(effectively eliminating any filters set at work) as well as all his resources. We also tend to have to use Hamachi for GTA 2 for the PC as it doesn't always want to work the way it should.
Dear god, they actually ported ES to a piece of celery!MarauderIIC wrote:You know those people that are like "CHECK IT OUT I just made Linux run on this piece of celery [or other random object]!!"? Yeah, that's Falco, but with ES.

Lmao! That must lead to some jacked up source code..MarauderIIC wrote:His L key, J key, and 0 keys are broken.
Arce, you should ask Falco for a slice of the camera fund so you can buy a new keyboard.
Re: Hamachi (Play LAN games over internet)
maybe we should have an arce keyboard fund.
Re: Hamachi (Play LAN games over internet)
xD, naw the source isn't suffering...I've rep1aced sticky keys with the onscreen keyboard (hit shift 5 times and tadaa!). But I'm not actua11y about to use onscreen keyboard whi1e posting or chatting...
Though i confess that I did spend an unusua1 amount of time debugging my code for my AP Java c1ass...The variab1e "1eftfoot" was spe11ed with a '1' instead of 'l' (out of habbit) and the fonts were fucking identica1!
'What the fuck? Undec1ared f1oat WHERE!?"

I'm missing enter, right shift, up and left arrow keys, backwards slash, as arse know you need it for blitz, ~that key, and home key, I did fine (they still worked I was just the only one skilled enough to use them, I told my mom I had all my keys now and she goes "But won't you miss your special talent of typing on invisible keys?".... anyways I know what you mean arse
Re: Hamachi (Play LAN games over internet)
Ive used Hamachi for atleast 4 years now, Its very handy but the recent builds have fucked it up.
