I think that you may be confusing republican with conservative. We need someone who is for small government, against excess spending, for capitalism, and against socialism/liberalism.
Yes I supported McCain, but only 'cuz he had Palin (and he wasn't as bad as Obama).

@PIP

Might as well... life without politics is boring. :mrgreen:

God, I hated Huckabee so damn much. My least favorite candidate. In my opinion, he would be worse than Bush.

Bush's whole philosophy was doing things based on Faith, and blindly believing that god would pull our country through. Bush (f of x) became a function of god (g of x), so when god failed us, so did Bush f(g(x)), and the nation became recursively fucked.

I don't see people who believe there is a spirit in the sky that will make sure everything is okay make objective decisions.

I think "recursively fucked" just became my new favorite phrase. I'll be sure to use it in normal conversation tomorrow.

We never DID find out what that stupidity was all about. Is anyone gonna share? :lol:

On topic: You all only just got a shiny new liberal president. If everything turns out to be great over the next four years, are you still gonna want another crusty old conservative leader who'd probably turn out all Bush-y?

Do you seriously think that Bush is conservative? Bush is about as centrist as McCain, which is saying something. And "crusty old"? :roll: You must have never heard of, much less seen, Sarah Palin.

the idea that barrack obama will fix everything in his first term is total ignorance and the idea that the government is whats going to fix this is also ignorance.

To add on: government CAUSED the problem, back in the '90's! The liberals in congress passed something that basically lowered the standards of for being qualified for a loan. This caused the banking crisis, which caused just about everything else. :evil:
