More resources here.
This guy was writing a book about the subject until Nintendo caught wind of it. Now you can DL the whole thing for free and get the source code for $12USD

Why don't big companies realize, we want to be able to develop our own apps for their consoles.... yet they keep them under lock and key....mllarson wrote:More resources here.

Re: GBA Development
The problem is most console manufacturers make their money via licensing fees for the games made for the systems. Homebrew = profit loss in their eyes, and unfortunately we live in a capitalist society where money is everything...

Ah... my professor. Yeah, I'm going through his latest book for my game engine. We used that book for our GBA dev class, awesome stuff in there.

On the internet, it's common to quote someone and change a word or two. It makes for a wittier comment.eatcomics wrote:What????? He just said that....
EDIT: Looks like someone else already posted Jonathan's book. No need to be redundant.

It's a good thing we live in a capitalist society, but the downside is that there are greedy, compassionless rich people.mllarson wrote:No, unfortunately, as in "Unfortunately rich assholes horde all of the money while people are hungry and homeless and dying."deryni21 wrote:The problem is most console manufacturers make their money via licensing fees for the games made for the systems. Capitalism isn't the problem, it's the corruption that affects some.
Quit procrastinating and make something awesome.
