Books should be waterproof
I decree it.
Then swimming wouldn't suck so much, and I could read my "Data Structures and Algorithms for Game Developers" book in the bath.

That's cool, I'd probably buy one if they didn't cost the going price of a kidney. And what would I do with all of my old fashioned paper books? You'd have to hire migrant workers to type them all out for you or something.

I really wish they'd have our textbooks for sale as ebooks, and give students discounts on tablet PCs.

I don't know if I'd be a serious reader even if I bought it, though.

and would it really feel the same has holding a big old chunky book you can hold in your hand and casually flick through? I think not

I can't read electronic books.. in any fashion. Sure I can read articles, or tutorials, or similar, but as for a whole book I'd MUCH rather just buy it and have a hard copy.

I'm the complete opposite. When I'm reading a hardcopy of anything, I miss having CTRL+F to find something quickly. :Pdandymcgee wrote:I can't read electronic books.. in any fashion. Re: Books should be waterproof
That happens to me all the time.. and it's really sad. I'll be trying to find something I KNOW I saw somewhere and be thinking "I really wish real life had a Ctrl+F". When I was in Driver's Ed we had to do the 100 practice questions in the back, but instead of reading through the whole boring manual I downloaded the PDF file from the DMV's website and used Ctrl+F to find all the answers.trufun202 wrote: I'm the complete opposite. When working on math assignments, I always used to reach for Ctrl+S to save after finishing a problem.M_D_K wrote: I was writing some work out and made a mistake, then I started looking for the imaginary keyboard so I could Ctrl-Z
