take your pick
i would suggest using the eclipse IDE. it basically makes the UML's for you. ie. goes through code and sees what diagrams need to be made and draws then for you.

Re: UML Tool?
Umbrello was good (no Windows version though) when I used it like, five years ago. ArgoUML totally sucks. The beta is better but instead of totally sucking it just really sucks.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.
Re: UML Tool?
I'd recommend Dia. It's pretty straightforward, and at the same time extensively powerful.
Re: UML Tool?
You could also use the community edition of Visual Paradigm but that program is huge and slow and...
I'm also using Umbrello in Linux.

I hear eclipse is pretty godly

Re: UML Tool?
I know some people in my programming class use argo uml, its free open source software that was coded in java.
Here is the link: http://argouml.tigris.org/
I personally use smartdraw 2009, it has a free 7 day trial, but it is around $100 for the full version, with student discount. It is really easy to use, especially if you are use to MS Office 2007. The trial version also puts a big watermark in the lower right part of your diagram.

NO! DON'T USE ARGO!
I've had enough horrible experiences with it to where I would recommend EVERYTHING BUT argo. The keyboard controls don't make any sense, sometimes it crashes and corrupts your save...
