The books C++ programming / Java

Has anyone read the books "Programming in C++" "Programming in Java", cause I am going to order them. And I need to hear peoples opinions on them, they seem nice though but, yeah. Thanks for replies. ^^

You should tell us the name of the book's author, because many books share the "Programming in <language>" title.
An even better soloution would be to include a links to descriptions of the books. :]

I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.
