Recommendation Needed
Hey guys, my name is Chris. I just recently started getting involved with Game Development, I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I just recently finished Sam's Teach Yourself C++ in 21 days. I was wondering if you guys could help me create a list of the books I should get (From amazon.com). I basically want to be able to create a simple 3D game by myself so a list of the books/languages/topics I need to be able to do that would be awesome.

Hi Oblivion
One book I recommend getting is Introduction to 3D Game Programming with DirectX 9.0: A Shader's Approach. It doesn't teach you how to make a game but it comes with loads of examples of how to do different things like rendering x. files etc and I find is a fantastic book for getting into 3D game development.
http://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Game ... 557&sr=8-2
This is the only book I know of because I havn't bought anymore (just finished this one) but I'm sure if you combined the knowledge from this book with another book, you'd be rockin'.

You might check guides & resources thread if you haven't.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.
