Have you ever been driving and suddenly hear a siren and react to it? It's normal to worry about whether or not you were going 25 miles over the speed limit, and still have that floozy's blood on your car seat from last night, and still have that bag of illicit substance hidden in your dashboard (I won't tell!)...But I digress.
I believe that it is just too hazardous to allow sirens to be played on the radio (such as in commercials). SIRENS should be registered to EMERGENCY VEHICLES and EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ONLY!!
DEFINITION of SIREN: any of a group of female and partly human creatures in Greek mythology...Oops!
2. a sound as a signal or WARNING: a POLICE car siren.
In the event that someone does hear a siren, they may:
1. throw da bitch out da window;
2. pull over suddenly, causing a possibly hazardous situation;
3. freak out and swerve, or
4. cause the driver to perform a probably unnecessary window check, (5.) diverting attention from possible situations that may arise on the road.
I will be contacting my state senator about this issue, and I would appreciate your feedback.

Re: Law Proposal
Reminds me of that episode of Curb your Enthusiasm where he thought the Double-A *honkhonk* M C O (Aamco) commercial was someone honking at him. :P
But yeah, it pisses me off when the sirens seem quiet enough so I really have to strain to hear oncoming ones.
