Moosie, do you have a lightboard? You could use that for drawing animation sequences, first sketch and the trace it nicely with ink, scan it all in and drop it into InkScape. You can convert bitmaps to vector graphics in InkScape too if you'd need that.
Not sure where to get lightboards where you live though, unless you already have one of course.

Re: Pixel art vs. Vector art?
I think that's a bit overkill. o_<
I heard of a program called "Pencil" for doing vector animations, will try that out.

Am I the only one who still believes in hand drawn art? I make all of my characters hand drawn... (Usually) Mostly because I do punk/industrial style art and I love that style... So yea....

Re: Pixel art vs. Vector art?
You could always build one... You can make a wooden frame with a sheet of Plexiglas (lightly spray painted) on top and a fluorescent light screwed in the frame underneath. That's what artistically inclined friend has. It's a lot cheaper than buying one too.pritam wrote:Moosie, do you have a lightboard? Re: Pixel art vs. Vector art?
Yeah this is what I did as a gift for a friend, it runs on batteries, built for A5 sized papers and I made a nice bag for it too. She was very happy with it :DInnerscope wrote:You could always build one...
