It was absolutely amazing. If you haven't played RE5 yet, get off your ass and go do it.

Except for the co-op.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Resident Evil 5 coop with a friend. He was not as good as AI when it comes to medicine.. we died like 15 times through the game :D and it was on amateur difficulty.
We were mostly dieing on cut-scene quick button press thingy though. It's ridiculous. I'm enjoying the movie, and some buttons pop-up, and my character gets owned during the cut-scene. For a second I wonder if that's how the story goes.

Beat Ultimate Alliance 2 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine (finally) this weekend.
Wolverine was pretty good. It had its annoying moments, like unnecessary puzzles and a couple annoying boss battles with cheap deaths (because, well, you're fucking Wolverine - kinda hard to die by getting beat up). But overall, a lot of fun. The only true Wolverine game so far.
UA2 was also enjoyable. If you've played the X-Men Legends games or UA1, it's a bit shallower in terms of equipment and stats, but has the same awesome gameplay. And online co op is sweet.

I heard someone's take on this was that they got rid of a bunch of unnecessary crap.aamesxdavid wrote:it's a bit shallower in terms of equipment and stats

Well, unnecessary is a relative term. They removed the micromanagement. If you're really into RPG details like managing your inventory and equipment, you'll miss these things this time around. You can only level up a few moves, and a couple of vague stats. Instead of equipment for each character, you get 3 slots for team bonuses. In practice, it makes a lot more sense, as you'll have different characters switching out at points whether you like it or not, and I've had a really nice piece of equipment on a lost character on more than one occasion in the past. All the same, I did kinda miss the micromanagement, but for online play, it's best to minimize that stuff anyway - it would take forever just to get out of the pause menu.MarauderIIC wrote:I heard someone's take on this was that they got rid of a bunch of unnecessary crap.

Streets of Rage 2 (genesis)
Yes, it's a blatant rip-off of Final Fight, but damnit, this game is still fun as hell. It's eight stages of beatemup bliss.
Cracking people over the head with a lead pipe never gets old!

Halo 3 ODST on Heroic difficulty, second time through great game I love halo and bungie and its great to see the cast of firefly and serenity (well half of them) starring in this. The game has been described as short but I think thats relative if you speed through the game going from point a to point b without any exploration then what do you expect?! I think the game has more than enough content for the £35 I paid for it afterall most new games are £50. Overall its worth playing and it was great being able to jump into that universe again.
