Cloudy, With a Chance of C++

Post by hurstshifter »

Went and saw this movie in 3d with my girlfriend yesterday. It was pretty good, and I mostly enjoyed it because this was one of my favorite books as a kid. But I thought it worth mentioning that the main character uses C++ to input commands into his water->food machine. They showed the syntax close up at one point and I grab my girlfriend and am like "OMG its c++!". She then rolled her eyes at me and is probably searching for a new boyfriend as we speak...

Haha, similar thing; I saw Paranormal Activity last week, and the guy uses Audacity for recording sound on his computer.. I'm pretty sure I was the only person in the theater to notice...

^ Of all the things I've heard about that movie, that has definitely not been one of them. I'll look out for it if I ever see it.

From the title, I would guess they are talking about Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Damn, I'll have to check it out. Speaking of randomly seeing C++... I remember when I was much younger--first learning--I saw a few episodes of Digimon where "Izzy" was coding C++ on his laptop.

hurtshifter, you may need a new girlfriend, bro!

You are just damn lucky, Gyro :D My girlfriend does not give a shit about engineering, she studies architecture. I cannot count the times I heard "Nerd" from her lips :D
