Digital Video Editing
Can anyone recommend a good, free digital video editing application that is available for Windows? It does not need to have any fancy bells or whistles, as long as it can get the job done.

I can't even name any free video editing software off the top of my head--let alone good, free.

I boot into Linux from a live distro from time to time for certain tasks so its certainly not out of the question. I'll definitely check that out, thanks.

Ive heard, "Jashaka," is pretty good but I havent ever used it myself, so I cant guarantee it. But it is free, and it works on Windows, Mac and Linux IIRC.
