(didn't konw were to post this)
My LCD screen on my laptop went out, I can hook it to a monitor and it works.
But the thing is i can shut it and open it and it works for about 1 second then shuts off again (the screen) and i don't know what could be the problem at all. I tried everything i could think of (not much). I'd like help.

Re: Compuer Monitor Problems
Was there something specific that brought this on? (bumping it into a wall, dropped, picked it up by the screen, etc...) If it comes on briefly then it could be a faulty video connection but you might have to detach the screen to check on this. Do you have any experience working on laptops?

Sounds like the inverter is bad.

Unless it happened quite fast and while the computer was running, I don't see that having anything to do with a hardware malfunction.thbp wrote:bout only thing i can think of is my room dipped below 32 degrees F. Re: Compuer Monitor Problems
It really does sound like an inverter issue.... 8/10, if it works on an external monitor, the issue is the inverter.
