So it appears that I almost killed both elysianshadows.com and thechaosrift.com earlier today.
I have a separate account (from Kendall) that the website's monthly payment comes from. I had recently bought Kendall's birthday present off of Ebay, thinking that I still had money in my Paypal account. I find out that I didn't, so the money drew from my account which overdrew. THEN I get the bill for the website which couldn't go through.
I always get a bunch of emails from my host, so I generally skip anything from them. So I didn't read the "Ummm.... you need to pay us email." I finally figured it out when the guys that I purchased the domains from called me up.
...this site was pretty close to being toast until I sorted it out.
Oh, and Kendall's Christmas present was a complete replica Ocarina of Time along with song book (she can now play every temple).
Nearly killed this website on accident...

That would of sucked. Out of curiosity, do you have backups of the forums?

I'm pretty sure he meant the domain names were almost toast, not the actual content.lotios611 wrote:That would of sucked. Out of curiosity, do you have backups of the forums?

Actually, no. Both were almost toast. We're hosted through 1&1 who also handles our domain name registration and such with another company. When the bill came it was for two parts--one for the actual web hosting and one for the domain names. Both of them didn't go through.dandymcgee wrote:I'm pretty sure he meant the domain names were almost toast, not the actual content.lotios611 wrote:That would of sucked. And no, I don't have any really recent forum dumps, although I should probably do that sometime soon just in case...

I'm not sure, but apparently enough time has elapsed that they threatened to send my debt to a loan shark.Singleton wrote:Whoah that's pretty nasty... How much time did you have?

Had I woken up to find out that this site was no more, I may have cried.
