I'm thinking we should get some sort of skype/webcam conference chat thing going a few hours before and take shots all around the house once the clock strikes midnight.

Those of you down for the online party for this release, download Skype and create an account, then add me: jnorris88
MeBeam is a way for us all to use video. Skype will be for audio.
More details in IRC tomorrow night.
Get on TinyChat tomorrow night!

That's fine. The rest of you can chug soda and get a caffeine high while we get our buzz on. No one's excluded from the festivities!LeonBlade wrote:But... I don't drink

I know Skype supports one-on-one video chat, but can it do a multi-video conference type deal?M_D_K wrote:Skype supports video aswell.

Re: Elysian Shadows Revolution 2
Hey guys, I say we make a TinyChat room.
I know the guy who owns the site, and I've been using it since June every day since I first started going there.
You can make a GyroVorbis account and make a cool channel page for it.
Then we can all go in there, there's room for just chat, but also you can get on webcam if you'd like.
It supports up to 12 cameras with microphone support via either open mic or push-to-talk.
http://www.tinychat.com/
I think it's perfect for what we want.
Plus, you can even stream YouTube videos with the YouTube share feature, moderators can play videos and they all play at the same time for everyone, and the moderator has control over it.
It's a bit buggy, but it works.

Nope. We'd have to go with MeBeam or TinyChat, it seems.Bakkon wrote:I know Skype supports one-on-one video chat, but can it do a multi-video conference type deal?M_D_K wrote:Skype supports video aswell.
In case we do end up using Skype, feel free to add me: aamesxdavid.

Yeah, TinyChat looks better. MeBeam just came up while Googling on if Skype supported multi-video conferencing.

Re: Elysian Shadows Revolution 2
I'll make sure Dan doesn't do anything stupid.
With TinyChat you can fit a large amount of people in the chat, it's pretty much like an IRC chat with similar commands like /nick to change your nick but you don't have the full range of IRC that you would get in a real IRC server.
But it does what it's supposed to do.
GyroVorbis can just create an account and setup possibly a background or use one of the ones I provided for the site in the themes section and then when the time comes we can all join in.
Like I said before, there are 12 camera slots available for use with microphone too in case people don't just want to sit on camera and do nothing, you have the option to use an audio source and either use push-to-talk or open mic.
However, it's best that if you use open mic that you USE HEADPHONES because there will be a large amount of echo and headaches followed shortly afterwords.
The only downtime the site has is at the daily 10 AM EST server reset which only lasts for a minute so we wont have any problem accessing the site unless Dan decides to do something stupid (which he does sometimes).
Once the profile is made you can assign 5 other TinyChat accounts to co-moderate the chat room.
Currently, using the /oper command doesn't actually give moderator status like it should, so if you want to have additional moderators to the chat they will either have to sign in to the same profile and then change their username, or just create a seperate account and then the master account can assign their username as one of the 5 listed moderators.
Of course, we shouldn't really have to worry about moderation, I assume everyone is going to act appropriately, but I thought I would inform you just in case.
You can just create a brand new room without registration, although that requires you to have a Twitter account and sign in with that, and that's a pain in the ass really. Dan added that in because he thought it would keep people out from creating rooms for nudity and such (the site attracts a large majority of the internet, 4chan included).
So it's best that GyroVorbis creates the profile and then post the URL for the chat here in this thread or somewhere so we can all join and hang out in there for the time being.
And like I said before, YouTube videos can be shared by moderators it's a small little pop-up box, while it can be buggy and sometimes even annoying, it can be useful in our case if you guys choose to use it.
If you have any other questions about TinyChat, just post them here and I'll answer them.

Re: Elysian Shadows Revolution 2
I have literally been up to 3:30 for the last two nights in a row, recording and editing. I feel like shit, I look like shit, I'm tired, and I'm still not even done. It looks to be 6 parts, and we have a few of these done. Part 1 is completely done, uploaded, and ready to go on Youtube. I hope to god that all 6 will be done "processing" by midnight. But we're working on it.
I've never in my entire life put half this much effort into a dev video. We are trying our hardest to appeal to every type of audience we have. Hopefully you guys all enjoy it!

I think all of us can agree that we absolutely apprectiate your dedication to this, good luck, absolutely can't wait to see the finished product (although I will have to wait till monday to see it as I am at my parents house with 'close to dial-up' speeds, I have an ultra-fast connection at uni though )
