Re: What projects are you currently working on?
Right now I'm working on a crappy little game in C++
On a side note, whoever was wanting a book on programming, "Beginning C++ Game Programming" is a good place to start. Once your done with that you'll need to move on to "Beginning OpenGL" or "Beginning SDL"

I only am making a rogue like (if you don't know what a rouge like is here is a web site about it: http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment. ... =Main_Page)
I don't have a name for it yet, but I do have a basic engine with movement, combat, and drawing the screen.

Nice, I love games like this. It's simple yet copmlex at the same time and they're really fun too. Keep it up, i'd love to see moreBl@ck Ph@ntom wrote:I only am making a rogue like (if you don't know what a rouge like is here is a web site about it: http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment. ... =Main_Page)

I'm currently working on a platformer in visual basic as my second game project; my first game made entirely on my own as my first project, a pong clone featured a code snippet our teacher gave us. The project is going to be a single level to start as I am handing it in as an assignment although I then intend to continue it. I am currently recording the development and intend to make it into a dev video.

Re: What projects are you currently working on?
Hey, I've got a new project in the works!
I've been considering the feasibility of this project for a while, but now I feel it's time to announce it, as I'm pretty sure I'll be able to at least have a good crack at it!
It's a new GUI library for SDL that I have codenamed "cowardly W.I.M.P".
At the minute I'm at the very early design stage, but I'm pretty sure I can move forward with this project now after weeks of consideration and planning on and off.
for more information, check out my new video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAOhhQ35RBs
More information will be coming soon, peace
Also, if you're interested in the idea, please register that interest in the form of a comment, just so I can find out if people actually want something like this, don't be afraid to ask any questions, I'll either answer them s best as I can as a reply or answer them in the next video.
