Rush - YYZ

Post by K-Bal »

I know there are some Rush fans on the board, so I want to know if there is a general interest in a play-along video (bass guitar) for this song.

One year ago I tried to learn this song and I could not get some parts nailed. These were in particular some of the bass solo licks, the breaks after the intro and it was a bit sloppy in general. Looks like I have to spend some time to learn these parts and to make a great video take of it. So please keep me motivated! :)

It's definitely YYZ, it's the airport code for Toronto and the phrase "YYZ" in morse code makes several appearances throughout the song IIRC. Also, for the bass part, maybe this will help?

Hehe, thank you ;) You really have to admire his playing, even more regarding that this is all recorded on tapes. No digital production cheating ;)

Okay, a first version. It's not perfect though ;)

You can watch the embedded version but I recommend watching it here.
