Is it the difference between playing along, and playing it solo? There should be no problem with you posting it if it's just you covering the song and not having the original work playing in the video.

It would still be a copyright issue but they probably would not detect it ;) However, a 13 min song without backing track...

Yeah, I definitely hear you there... For the Dream Theater stuff you might be able to get away with session drummer if you don't mind programming in the relentless time signature changes. Then all you have to do is find a guitarist who can keep up with Petrucci :D
