Re: Game Industry Tweet - J Force
The term "game developer" is becoming looser than a retired prostitute these days, I see.

If you can call Zynga a game company, and Bill Mooney a game developer, then yes, this is true.GyroVorbis wrote:

I really don't have anything against JForce being labeled as an independent game developer (or in a broader sense, part of the game industry). They did release a title for the X-Box, granted, it was more of a mini-game. The game they're about to release, "Unstoppable", looks pretty impressive though...

I'm going to make a Twitter and register on the site so I can be known as a big developer!

Re: Game Industry Tweet - J Force
Of course JForce is considered an indie game development team. They have every right to call themselves that. But a registry of VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS? Are you fucking kidding me? We (the ES team) aren't video game industry PROFESSIONALS.Innerscope wrote:If you can call Zynga a game company, and Bill Mooney a game developer, then yes, this is true.GyroVorbis wrote:

You can just tell them to add you if you're "missing from the list". Time to make myself a Twitter account and enlist as a PROFESSIONAL.Game Industry Tweets wrote:Are we missing anyone? Would you like yourself removed from the list, your title or name updated? Please send us a message at devs@gameindustrytweet.com

Good point. I didn't read the "PROFESSIONALS" part. A lot of devs on that list aren't professionals. I'll have to follow up with what Bakkon, Hebron, and Leon suggested.GyroVorbis wrote:Of course JForce is considered an indie game development team. They have every right to call themselves that. Re: Game Industry Tweet - J Force
Not sure why, but I was browsing their website today to see if they had made any 'real' games since their Samurai Kirby ripoff and I stumbled across their sales stats
http://jforcegames.com/blog/index.php?s ... wdownsales
Am I reading this right? Have they actually netted $40k off of this game?
