I don't think it's free until May 24th (Steam often posts games that are free to play for X days) but rather, if you get steam and activate portal's download before May 24th the game is free for life.

I've played this game and got fairly far on my laptop. I think that this is an extremely creative damned good game. Well deserving of a 5* rating in my book. I'm going to look into this.

This game is SO much fun, I just downloaded and played it for a little over and hour. I definitely plan to make this one of the few video games I've ever completed.
