Duke Nukem Forever Returns
Duke Nukem Forever is back in development, this time by Gearbox Software. People who went to PAX today got to play a demo. It is "already done" and is in the polishing stages right now. Will be released in 2011.

Too bad it will not succeed, it was too long of a wait, Duke Nukem does not have his bad ass status anymore

Yea every game gets sales, but I am saying it will not save the company from its economic troubles, probably the last Duke Nukem ever to come out... That is if it ever comes outJaxDragon wrote:People will still buy it anyways.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever Returns
Im pretty sure 3Drealms isn't coming back. Thats why Gearbox took over. Gearbox, to my knowledge, is doing rather well financially after they released Borderlands(and all it's DLC). The game will now 100% come out. 2KGames put too much money into its development to just cancel it so close to release.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever Returns
DId somebody play the demo?
And, like most of the others, I will buy it, but I think it won't be a financial success.
I think the shooter genre moved on, from stupid Run'n'Gun games, like most ID games are, to more story driven games, like Half-Life 2 or Bioshock.

If it offers the same sort of multiplayer shenanigans, then I'll be checking it out - purely out of respect for DN3D, I wasted countless lunch breaks owning work colleages at that :D.
I want trip mines, pipe bombs, shrink guns and I want to squish people once they are shrunk. Not much to ask after waiting about 20 years.
