I know that the 2 are not exactly the same thing, the Arduino is a platform with a microcontroller on it. And, a Para Prop is a microcontroller chip. Which do you use, and why does it own?

I just bought an Arduino not too long ago as well, is Parallax Prop open source?

I've got a few Arduinos and one Sanguino, I prefer the Sanguino, not considering the Arduino Mega, I'd say Sanguino is my favourite one for having more io slots.
Edit: Dunno about Parallax Prop.
