Opinions on computer specs
I'm getting a computer for Christmas. My grandfather has pointed me to this computer. I think it's an amazing deal, what do you guys think? Keep in mind I'll be putting my 9500GT in there, and I know 2gb is a bit on the low end, but my birthday is in april, and I can hold out until then.

Definitely a nice deal. Keep in mind it also doesn't have a CD/DVD drive, but those are pretty cheap these days. Not sure what you mean by 2GB; the RAM is 4GB total - two 2GB sticks. Not many people bottleneck at RAM anymore anyway. Personally, I'd say upgrade that video card for your birthday. But that really depends on what you play.

Ah yes! I didn't see the quantity "x2" there. In that case, I shall indeed be updating my video card for my birthday then. Probably to an HD 4670, they're relatively cheap.

CHANGE OF PLANS: The computer I wanted went off sale. So now I had to buy this one http://www.compusa.com/applications/Sea ... CatId=3508. Still what I think is a good build. Only problems are the tri core 2.1GHz and the 5900RPM hard drive. I hear they can die if you try to transfer files that are too big.
Re: Opinions on computer specs
yeah if you are working with a file any bigger than 792gb i would suggest splitting it into two before copying itJaxDragon wrote:CHANGE OF PLANS: The computer I wanted went off sale. In last Monday celebrate my birthday my father said me, what you want? I tell him I want to buy a computer because there are many facility in there like store the data, hide important information by password. You have to make your personal account in that. We have to use pretty chips like 2gb,4gb in consisting 512 RAM.It is called idiot box.
