You know I can't vote against my baby. The DC has the magic.
Sure, there might be extras in SA2, but the original hype and the Chao Garden with VMU Chao Adventure 2 isn't there. There is no Dreamcast Online connectivity. No breeding chaos by connecting memory cards. NO! Those are some of the greatest memories of my summers in Utah. Unforgivable. Gamecube: F--; Dreamcast: A++
PSO 1 and 2.
A very interesting one. Still the DC pwnz for an array of reasons. The DC has the VMU, and the magic. It doesn't feel right on the GC. The Dreamcast has online connectivity. Along with that, the DC has the keyboard and mouse to make it work out right. It's obvious that the game was made to feature much more than the GC can offer. You can spiffen it up with your newfangled graphics (and not even much, they've just corrected a few jaggies), but you cannot deny what the original intentions of PSO were. It was intended for Dreamcast and no port will ever beat Dreamcast.

PSO:
I'd have to say GC. 3 extra characters, episode 2, more items and 4-player offline splitscreen. It also has less slowdown, jaggies and loading times.
SA2:
GC version has better gfx, somewhat nicer controls and a playable multiplayer mode. But they made the game easier, removed downloadable content and the VMU stuff. So for single player: DC, multiplayer: GC.
SOA:
I dunno about this one. The GC version has a lot of extra stuff and less random encounters (a huge plus according to people). But the sound quality is far from the DC version, I've heard the same about texture quality as well. Sounds like a sloppy port to me.
Ikaruga:
The GC version is blurrier, has worse sound effects, worse controls, frameskip (in the PAL version) and is far from as good as the DC version. The only thing that's better is that there is one spot where the DC version slows down and the GC version doesn't.
Those are the ports I've tried myself. I've never played DC SOA though.

What are you, gay? First of all, who here would like to degenerate and humiliate themselves enough to purchase a $50 Qbe game when the Dreamcast counterparts -- assuming they are worse (which they damn well aren't) are only about $10?
Next, what've they done to SA2 on GC? Slaughtered it. They haven't made the graphics any better whatsoever. Don't tell me they did, I've played them both. Sure, you can add a little plant here and there and make it look a bit nicer, but in reality it's no better than the original.
I think the controls suck on GC. The only reason that they might be good is because you've got one big button so when the little 2 year olds that play GC try to jump, they don't miss the button or hit the wrong one. Did the GC have VMU display? NO!
Think about this. For the chao garden on DC, all that is required of you is a VMU. On GC you need a GBA, Sonic Advance1/2, friggen GC<->GBA adapter and stuff. Raise your hand if you're stupid enough to buy all that? And you STILL aren't achieving what you did with the VMU. Chao Adventure II for the VMU was a game in its own rights. All that you can do on the GBA is watch you chao walk back and forth and play some mini games for 1 - 2 year olds.
If you're telling me that SA2 is better for the GC on account of its multiplayer mode and denying everything that the Qbe ultimately lacks -- you suck.
I'm too tired from typing this up on this crappy keyboard, I won't even go on to bash PSO on GC around.

When did I say the Cube version was better? I said the multiplayer part was better on the Cube.
And I was talking about the games, not the prices. This might come as a shock to you, but there are people in this world who owns a Gamecube and not a Dreamcast. So they might wanna get the GC version, which btw isn't $50.
Sure the graphics difference is tiny, but it's there.
The controls are a matter of opinion so I'm not gonna discuss that.
I've played through both versions several times so I know what I'm talking about.
If you meant what you just said you need to wake up from whatever world you're in and take a look around. I've no intentions to discuss with people who can't look beyond their own extreme case of fanboyism.

HS didn't even really write that. It was a complete joke. And the what are you, gay, etc. was aimed at Drakor not you.
What I really think:
GC SA2 might actually be better, but I'm a DC loyalist and I feel it has the magic on DC. No VMU is really a big down for the GC. I must admit I'd like to play multiplayer city escape any day.
Seriously, don't hold that post against HS, it was my doing. XD
Oh, and. I think I'm pissed off at the GC ver of PSO. It has multiplayer and the DC doesn't...
So actually GC probably pwnz the DC ver of PSO, but GC getting online would be a bitch...

No. You just need that stuff if you want to put a Chao on your GBA. Otherwise, you can play on the chao garden without all that crap.Hyper Shadow wrote: For the chao garden on DC, all that is required of you is a VMU. On GC you need a GBA, Sonic Advance1/2, friggen GC<->GBA adapter and stuff.

Yeah, but I was meaning Chao Adventure II.
I know it sounds wierd, but although you can technically do more on the GBA, the VMU was actually more fun.
It was tiny, you could easily connect with another VMU in a split and trade/battle.
Also, Chao Garden on GBA had no storyline whatsoever. You did absolutely nothing.
Although you didn't do crap pretty much graphically on the VMU, it was almost like an RPG. You went places, achieved things. Your chao talked to you and didn't just say gay things that 3 year old children would like. (damn you Sega, has Nintendo rubbed off on you?)
There were just so many scenerios and adventures to have on that little black and white bastard of a VMU. It was nice. I'll always like it. Every time you get your chao out and do something, another thing happens.
The GBA seems like you're just forever doomed to doing nothing but watching your chao walk or maybe playing a few minigames...
