BrainScience for Android released!
Hey guys!
Since my previous project got kinda too big to actually finished (Link here),
I started a new one back in October, with my aim being to finally finish a game.
(Honestly, it sucks to make games for about 4-5 years now, and still have not released any!)
So, today I am proud to announce that I finally finished my first every to be released game, and I thought
it might would interest some on this forum.
Its a puzzle jump and run with some "funky" levels, little bit like Karoshi.
In it you play a body-less brain, which got abducted by aliens to perform different tests, to see how intelligent the human life-form is.
The whole game (excluding the background music) was made by me.
I would really appreciate if you would download it and give it a go!
Thanks

Re: BrainScience for Android released!
Awesome game, but I got stuck at 3-3. I've touched every part of the screen, hit every button combination in every possible location, tried to walk through every block, and even tried tilting my device to see if it did anything. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm not thinking far enough outside the box

Tilting the device should actually move the small red thing below you.
And thank you very much for playing it, I appreciate it :D

Yeah, tilting doesn't seem to work on Kindle Fire 6.2.2
I don't know if it's Amazon's weird-ass version of android or your game Any fix would be appreciated, I really want to keep playing

It may just be a kindle fire thing. My Samsung Galaxy S played the level just fine. Now I'm stuck at 3-5 trying to get the timing down is getting brutal.

Okay, as I just found out its because the Kindle Fire has an accelerometer, but no gyroscope.Ginto8 wrote:Yeah, tilting doesn't seem to work on Kindle Fire 6.2.2

So this should be fixed now, simply update the game via the AndroidMarket.
Thank you for reporting this
Sorry it took me so long to respond to this, I had a lot to do in the past week (school and stuff), I hope you still want to finish the game

Re: BrainScience for Android released!
The Kindle Fire is wacky in so many strange an unusual ways Well I finished, and I have a few things to note: first, I hope those jetpacks weren't too expensive. I must have lost 50 of them on downward diagonal passageways of spikes Second, awesome game. Some of the challenges were downright evil, but they were still plenty of fun. And third, in the last level, I think there's a typo ("What's red an kills you?")

Hell yea!! I cannot wait to give this a shot. I'll post here when I have and tell you what I think!
Getting an actual release out there is a huge milestone in any game developer's career, and it's awesome to see that you've made that step. I have a particular affinity for those enduring developers who chose to work "ground up" in their projects as that is the way I learned to develop. The screenshot looks sick, so kudos. Reminds me of a super gameboy gamed I played growing up.
I'll let ya know after I've gotten a chance to play (and hopefully beat) it!

I'm stuck on the level with all the spikes and you have to use the boosters to navigate.

Hey guys!
For those of you wondering - I'm still working on the update for the game, I just hadn't much time in the past month to do so.
So, here's a pic to prove my progress:
This update will include 10 new levels and a small outro-movie to round it off
