I am very curious to see how this project is going to tempt developers to make quality games for this console, so people would have a decent reason to get it and use it frequently.
As for me, I think it would be a great place to start off with; publishing some small games there, to see how they are appreciated.
I really doubt that this will become as huge as the hype has become.
But I hope I'm wrong, because it has a great potential.

A friend I work with bought the SDK for it. It arrives in December. He's already moving along quite nicely on porting his flash platformer game to Java and making it run on Android. I think he may have one of the first hits on the OUYA, judging by the quality of his flash game and his serious talent as a programmer (and human being in general), but time will tell.
