Hi! I started watching AIGD along time ago but decided to register just now. I'm not really a newb though my coding skills are far from good. I haven't finished a game yet, but I am working on one for the Moosader Compo

Hello. My name is Aaron.
I'm a programmer and business/finance guy. I'm working on an RPG engine written in C++ with SDL. It's not an actual RPG yet, it's just an engine, for now. I've been working on it for just about a week and a half.

Hi! I'm just turning 18 very soon and I've been watching AiGD for some time and just decided to register because I love games/game development and programming. I must thank to the ES team for inspiring me into making my own games and develop myself.

Re: Official "Hello, World! (I'm new!)" thread
Hello everyone, I decided to post here after obsessing over the blog posts for the past few days. The team's engine design (where the engines contain a list of systems) is an interesting one and I have a few questions about it. I suppose I'll ask those questions in the "Game Development" section, though. I started watching your AIGD series a year or two ago and never really wandered over to the site until now. I have been developing a 2-D engine for about two years now, however I continuously scrap everything and start over. The build I started yesterday, the fifth, will hopefully be the last time I do this starting over shit. Anyway, I hope to talk to many of you in the near future. Thanks!

Hello, I'm a fairly competent programmer that always get too ambitious with projects and tends to break them with no backups

Hi! My name is Altan Haan, I am a self taught programmer and I love C++!
I am currently working on a project called ProENGINE, which I hope one day will become popular.
I am turning 12 in May and I can't wait for sixth grade to finish!
I first learnt of Elysian Shadows when I was on a vacation in Hawaii. I was working on a previous project that was falling apart, then I watched Elysian Shadows. Every single episode. I was laughing my a** off and also learning more about game programming. And by the time I watched Chapter 20, I couldn't wait to watch 21.
(*NOTE*) I am living in China, and the damn government blocked all the good websites (youtube, facebook, twitter, tumblr);

Re: Official "Hello, World! (I'm new!)" thread
Hello everyone, new guy here, better late than never.
I wish I had found elysian shadows WAY sooner, but oh well.
Anyways, my name is Lee. I am currently learning to program, I use lua, and am developing a game that should be out soon. I plan on learning c++ as well but have yet to get a compiler, ide, etc. I don't entirely like the program that I use, but at least I can write lua scripts in it and pretty much create games. My approach has been learn to program and develop at the same time as I go, it's been working so far.
Pretty much, I'm new at this, but have always wanted to learn about how games are made.
Oh, and my avatar is from my game. ^.^
