I was thinking about all of the possibilities with the mouse. Then I thought of actually being able to edit the level dynamically while you're playing through Null when in debug mode.
Sure, sure, it might not sound like much, but imagine this scenario.
You're walking along and you come to this pit. You think before you leap and realize that you need a jetpack to get over. You, being a dumbass, forgot to get the jetpack. So what do you do? You take your DC mouse, point to your character, drag him accross the pit, and drop him safely on the other side.
Or, you can drag tiles from elsewhere and make a bridge to safely get accross.
Imagine getting to the boss. You're low on ammo or something and you know you're about to die. What do you do? Pick him up and drag him over to a nice, huge pit with the mouse. Then release and kiss his ass goodbye...
I'm sorry, I just think random thoughts when I'm bored, or brushing my teeth, or showering. I thought it felt like a very ambitious idea, let me know what you think.
Also, I got a PM from GoatDan checking up on Null today. It's good to know that somebody actually cares and that he hasn't just forgotten about me. The future looks bright for Null as far as seeing an official release goes...
So I got this AWESOME idea for Null the other day...
