Scorpions
Twisted Sister
Skid Row
Motley Crue
Whitesnake
Alice Cooper
Quiet Riot
Poison
Ratt

My brother is 10 years older than me, and I inherited his entire cassette (that's right, I said cassette) collection when he went into the Navy. At the time, grunge was popular, but I dug 80's hair metal way more. It has stuck with me ever since.

My playlist really depends on my mood/how far behind in my work I am.

If its an good night, looking at trying to tackle a small problem or two:

Rush
Amorphis
AFI
Collective Soul
Lacuna Coil
and various 90s and video game OSTs

if I happen to be behind in work, got a ton to do, or if I'm feeling some sort of programing angst:

Julien-k
Orgy
Dimmu Borgir
Gojira
Them Crooked Vultures
DJ Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise
Zeromancer
Tool
and various dark, gloomy, heavy musics.

I totally know what you mean; If I need to get serious work done, I listen to JFAC, Impending Doom, The Devil Wears Prada, and various death/____core metalz

Oh yeah, rockin' the cassette

I like hair metal once in a while, but not while devving. The major hair metal band I like is a toss up between Twisted Sister, and Motley Crue.

I totally agree. But the only really beautiful OST I've heard is the Chrono Cross OST. I've listened to a couple tracks of the Kingdom Hearts OST, but never really listened to a lot of it.
