I need some advice!
I've been noticing this since the first day of school. The harder I try to fight it, the worse it gets.
First, I get up early. I'm tired as hell. I go to school. Then I come home and I'm tired from a tedious day of nonstop work at school. I want to work on my homework, but I can't. I just sit there and rest. I can't program, can't do homework, I can't do anything productive. I need to "rest".
Later on, I need to shower. Then I need to eat. Before I know it, the day is gone without getting to play any video games or anything. I have enough time to do my homework and go to bed.
Somebody help me to escape this bleek life of repetitive boredom before I kill myself. I go to bed feeling terrible that I didn't get to work on the Dreamcast game or a perl script to better the website. Then I look at all my video games and wish I'd of played them. But I couldn't of, I had homework.
What do you do? You can't tell me you have all of this time to do whatever you want. Help me before I go crazy.

I do homework not at home, unless it's an essay or a project or something.
Usually do it in a class, at breakfast break, on the bus, a bit after school, right before school, whatever, but not at home. Then again, I have four classes per half-year, you might have eight for the whole year. Might consider dropping a class to take a study hall, or as a last resort dropping down a difficulty in a class. Maybe use your spare time in C class to do homework for other classes. Go outside and do stuff, if you can't go outside, open your blinds to let sunlight in, and even better, open a window. Well-lit rooms improve mood. Go to bed earlier, make sure you eat a breakfast before you leave home, even if it's a couple poptarts on the way. Have some social interaction (apparently mental health people say we have to have contact with at least five people per day in some shape form or fashion.)
Avoid caffeine. At least, this is a personal -- it makes me groggy and ooky-feeling. Relax before you go to bed to help you sleep better. Try to feel really really comfortable.
Also, until this year, I went to bed around 9, 9:30. :)

I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

I go to bed early (9:30) and I too avoid caffeine, 1 Dr. Pepper Max. Also, this may not work for some of you, but I listen to music while I do my homework. I don't know how but I can concentrate better and get done faster that way.
Set aside mandatory Fun time!!!

Yeah, I pretty much do all my homework at school. On days I don't have band practice, I get a good five hours at the comp.

i know what your saying. i have swim practice till 6 everyday plus work afterwards. however, i've discovered that if i go to bed earlier, and get up earlier, i get more done. and working on homework during c is a good idea. :mike:

I honestly NEVER make room for fun and games in my schedule. NEVER.
(Sometimes it just so happens that my homework is "fun and games". Blitz Programming is fun, and involves games, lol)
Fun and games ARE my schedule. I do my homework like Marauder does, at school. But I know what I can and cannot handle doing at school. At times I have just too much, and I end up altering my schedule to fit homework in at around 11:30. Studying for me is done on free time between classes. When I'm too tired, I'll take a nap during the day to make up for latenight HW.
EVERYTHING I just said are HORRIBLE habbits, and I know this. Sadly enough, they work and I manage to get A's. I know this'll change sometime. But for now, this works. Probably just because I know what I can and cannot do in class, I know how much studying I MUST do to pass, ect.
