Me too.. best time without getting lucky was 52 seconds. :) Too lazy to learn a better solution though.

I can solve one too!
I also learned to solve the cube from Dan Brown's youtube-videos, and I scrambled and mixed it so many times that the cube broke.
Now I have a new cube and I've learned a new method called 2 look oll and 2 look pll. Still, I use about one minute at my best.
I find it amusing anyway. *Wished I knew how to lubricate my cube*.

to lube it, see Dan Brown's "how to solve a rubik's cube... faster" ;)

I wonder what algorithm implementation they used. There are lots of different ways to do it and some much more efficient than others. Assuming it's real.

At first I used dan brown's method, then started using the Fridrich method for the first 2 layers. Still need to learn OLL/PLL (orienting/permuting the last layer) :(

BTW I can solve the 5x5x5, 4x4x4, 3x3x3, and 2x2x2( ) now. ;) Can't get any larger because they're so expensive. :(

Challenge: Blindfold cubing

Here's a new challenge for you all. Try to solve the cube blindfolded. I can't do it myself (yet), but i recommend taking a look at this page and this video if you want to try. It appears to be much easier than it looks. ^^ Good luck to those of you, who is willing to give it a try! :)

I reccomend learning 2-look oll and 2-look pll first. Then you only need to learn 9 olls and 6 plls.
Take a look at these videos: 2-look oll and 2-look pll
