Whoa! This has some HUGE potential. Novell has introduced "MonoTouch" which allows you to develop and publish iPhone apps using the .NET framework.

Re: iPhone development using .NET
.NET is going to take over the planet.
My only complaint with .NET, and the only real reason (aside from "Oh, I just don't like it") for people to not adopt the .NET framework was platform dependency, but Microsoft is slowly closing that gap.
Holy mother of fuck!
...that is all.

If .NET goes multiplatform, and it's speed is increased just a little more, it will become quite popular.

$400... Looks impressive, but there's no way I'm ever checking it out (no pun intended).

It's not really Microsoft that are closing the gap, they just for now are allowing mono to be developed by novell. I don't particularly trust them, maybe their intentions are good by working with novell to bring .NET to other platforms but then again maybe they are just playing their games and biding their time until they start suing companies for using their technology.GyroVorbis wrote:.NET is going to take over the planet.
