Saw this on /r/gamedev and thought your name looked familiar; didn't realize you were providing updates here!
This game looks super smooth, I love it.

Re: BrainCollect (Free Android game)
Hello again! I just finished the AndEngine version of this game. I would be really happy if some of you could confirm that this game is running as it should :) Much nicer now! The only other things I'd say are that you might want to consider a higher resolution font (text is blurry on high density ...

Re: BrainCollect (Free Android game)
Here's what the two scenes look like on my Nexus 5 (1920x1080px, xxhdpi). By the way, the back button doesn't exit the game. I know you're still working on it, but please don't eat that event and send it to oblivion. How is your game set up? Are you using straight Android Views, SurfaceView & Ca...

Re: toLua++ runtime error 0xc000a200
Google brought me to this thread, which suggests you need to provide the /APPCONTAINER:NO option to the linker command line.

Re: Where did it all begin for you?
Saw this thread and immediately began digging throughout the Internet for old ramblings of my younger self, as apparently 7-8 years is far too long ago for me to remember with any detail. (After finding some old forum posts of mine, I think I might have been slightly schizophrenic in middle school.....

My Childhood is Restored
Full post with album is here . Due in part to watching Falco occasionally mentioning the Dreamcast in a video or two and the fact that I had money burning a hole in my pocket, I bought a used Dreamcast on eBay. I recall, vividly, many hours at Grandma's house were spent playing this wonderful system...

Re: So what are you guys doing these days?
Turned 19 today. That was fun, I guess. Of course, Mexican food isn't my favorite so every year it's up to me to come up with an alternative, else things degrade into a Cinco de Mayo thing. This year was Jimmy John's. Didn't go to college last Fall, not sure if I'll go this Fall. All my friends have...

Re: Project "bitfield"
So, I didn't make the deadline for the CREATE jam. Oh well. :P Truth is, I got a little too involved on the optimization side of things and went ahead and implemented my own draw batcher and stuff. That took about 3 hours, and then I spent the next 72 hours (I think?) tracking down a huge memory spi...

Re: Chronicling my CREATE Game Jam Attempt - "bitfield"
I think these update videos might become a regular thing. :D After failing to get the opus decoder working last night, I added vorbis support to the engine today and eventually also got it working on Android. Also showcased in this video is the addition of OUYA controller input handling. Unfortunate...

Re: Chronicling my CREATE Game Jam Attempt - "bitfield"
Looks awesome, and I'm glad that we're going to be seeing regular updates with this! I think you're the only one on the boards with the devkit too. :D Cool project, I have recently messed around with Android development and discovered NDK could be used instead so it would be interesting to see some...

Re: Chronicling my CREATE Game Jam Attempt - "bitfield"
Time for a brief update, I guess. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3274458/triforce/bitfield1_640.png I've got a name for this game, now, calling it "bitfield" for reasons that will hopefully be made clear soon. I even went so far as to register bitfieldgame.com, so I think I'm sticking to the nam...

Project "bitfield"
So, OUYA & Kill Screen announced their CREATE Game Jam competition last week. Since I was fortunate to be able to grab a dev kit, I figured I'd use it as an excuse to get back into game development (the past few months have been filled with non-game-related Android contracts, and that tends to ...

Re: Garbe Engine/Editor C++/SDL
Looks like a neat start, but I heavily suggest you don't re-load the textures in the Dot class on every key press (dunno what your load_image function does, but I can only assume the worst).

Re: Downlink: A Web-based Uplink Clone
Thanks for checking it out. At the moment, I've made the decision to package it up as a Chrome app, which will allow me to make an awesome game without worrying about the cross-browser compatibility. Despite that, I have been testing it in Firefox alongside Chrome and aside from a few quirks that ca...

Downlink: A Web-based Uplink Clone
A few years ago, a friend and myself had the idea to create a clone of the game Uplink , by Introversion Software. The catch was that it would be done completely on the Web, however. Back then though, the technology wasn't quite up to par (these were the pre-Chrome days), so we had to put the projec...
