I don't really know any either, but I've been learning a bit of SH4 for Dreamcast.

Gyro, you would seriously go through hell rewriting my OO in C. And you wouldn't see ANY difference in performance. I bet money on it. Not only that, but the equivilent code would be 80 time as long. I bet money on my bet!

So... did anybody ever give Code Blocks a run? It's quite enjoyable.

It froze too much for me.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Why didn't I notice this post?

Nice, now pay me. Guess what. The particle engine is living proof of how much better C is than C++ on a Dreamcast. It was originally written and running with C++.

So? What does a dinky particle engine have anything to do with complex OO with crap loads of inheritance huha (whatever you call that other stuff too) everywhere? Yeah, a particle engine isn't much more than running through a simple list. If your whole argument is going to be based on "memory allocation" then don't bother. The code won't be allocating 1238120983 different things a frame.

Hmm, well Code Blocks has yet to freeze on me. Of course, I'm running trusty'ole Win98.

C is a lower level. I'm sorry, but a higher level isn't going to beat code that has been optimized with a lower level language.

I'm sorry too, because I said:

Keyword see. I'm sure pure C would physically be faster. Just not enough to actually be seen or noticed.

Score one for the Mac'Ron man.

No. Marx can't capitalize or punctuate.
