Bop N' Pop! 360 Edition
So, I didn't plan on revealing my "secret project" this early, but today I got some news that I'm pretty damn stoked about.
I'm making Bop N' Pop, my cheesy little puzzle game, for the Xbox 360. (There's just something about developing a console game that really intrigues me, and its a small project - so I felt it was worth taking the break from Golvellius.)
A co-worker is doing the graphics for me, so I brought it up to work to show off the game and test the 4-Player Party Mode. And, everything worked well - so rock on.
Well...another co-worker saw the game and mentioned that a client is looking for little Tetris / Dr. Mario style game to re-skin for their next conference, and my game is going to be the first one presented at the client pitch tomorrow!
Holy shit fuck wow, I wasn't expecting that at all! Of course, there's no guarantee it'll be picked up, but it's cool that they're interested.
Anyways, as for the 360 edition, the game is probably 95% complete - I just need to build the Trial Mode, finish the "How to Play" screens, and drop in my co-worker's artwork (which isn't ready yet). Once complete, if the game is approved by the XNA Creator's Club community it'll be available on XBLA.
woot.

Heh, I'm not going to the pitch, but I'll wear the shirt regardless.
Here are a couple of screenshots from the Windows build. Note that these are my placeholder graphics. A friend, and very talented artist, is working on the release version graphics right now.

Hey look at you you broke into the industry by accident! Also let us know when its released and if you think we should buy it :)
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Re: Bop N' Pop! 360 Edition
hehe, will do. We just had a little party up here at work, and a group of us played it over some beers. Its hard to tell if people were just being nice, but they said they enjoyed it.MarauderIIC wrote:Hey look at you you broke into the industry by accident! There will be a trial version, so you can try before you buy. And I think it will only be like 2 bucks for the full game. :P

Re: Bop N' Pop! 360 Edition
Well if your execs mangle it and you'd rather we not buy it... if you see 0% of the profit, etc... Then you would say "no don't buy it, I as the creator don't approve"
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Shit . . .
Did it have to be XNA!? Why not SFML!!
Now I won't be able to play it unless: 1) I install windows on a partition (again). Or 2) by a 360.

Heh, I've ported this game on so many things, so SFML is always a possibility.sparda wrote:Shit . . .

After the BNP 360 is done I'm hopping back on Golvellius tho, I miss it!
