trufun202 wrote:Well crap. I WAS getting close to approval. I think I was at like 43% - but that was just for English. People were bitching about the other languages because some of the graphics (like "Victory" and "Defeat") weren't translated. (which, for the record, I've played plenty of "translated" games that still have graphics with Japanese characters here and there - but oh wellz)

Screw that. I took the game down and I'll strip out the other languages tonight and resubmit. It's not worth it - I need to get back on some Golvellius! ;)

This sets me back another week, but will probably get the game approved quicker in the long run.
>< That's rough man. Nobody likes to find out they have a lot of work to do :(

Hopefully some of the suggestions are at least a little inspiring so things dont get too monotonous for you

The game is still in review. :(

You have to reach a certain number of approvals before it can go up for sale. So far, I've received 58% of my approvals. But, hopefully things will go faster now, because there are only 2 games ahead of mine in line. (as opposed to being buried deep within 4 pages of games.)

I'm doing my best to wait patiently, but I still check the approvals page like 3 times a day.

In mean time, it's all good, because Golvellius is getting some much needed TLC.

Well, that's good news. Though kind of bad news--if/when I release an xna game, It'll probably be on the ninth page. Anyway, I'll worry about that later.

I think you should get your camera and take a picture of your game in the community -> new arrivals section, tru.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Awesome, thanks guys. That's a great idea - something to show the grandkids one day. :P I took a crappy pic with my phone as well. :)

I just played Bop 'n' Pop(full version) with my girlfriend, and we both agree it's pretty darn good ;)

i'll have to spend a bit of time to get good at it, but I find the rules pretty awesome, with the choice of character, powerups and the 'pop' system.

Nice one!

Also, I love the cover art, and the scrolling backgrounds make the deal that little bit sweeter, keep up the good work man :)

EDIT: oh, and keep us informed on how well it does on the marketplace, if you have any idea, it would be nice to know what kind of audience a decent game fetches on there!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I can program pretty well, it's my compiler that needs convincing!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And now a joke to lighten to mood :D

I wander what programming language anakin skywalker used to program C3-PO's AI back on tatooine? my guess is Jawa :P

Microsoft posts the marketplace stats on a daily basis, so we'll see:

On launch day, I had 162 trials downloaded, and 6 purchases.

This project has zero to do with money, but it's fun to watch the stats. 8-)

I wish I could find it, I can't even find the community games section. Something tells me MS went bitchy and didn't give community games to either silver accounts or norwegian people...

:x

Could someone tell me where the community games "should" be?

Unfortunately the game is only available in the US, UK, and Canada. :( The only other countries that were up for release were France, Italy, and Spain - but getting approval for those would have taken forever.
