That's what I was thinking. I'm not wasting my Friday (or Saturday, forgot) seeing some Disney movie.JS Lemming wrote:I saw the previews and they looked like kiddie crap. Were the books super good or something?
I could be coding, gaming, or helping society in some other way rather than adding to the already outrageously large cult of Disney. No man, if the movie is anything like the previews, count me out.
What?
you guys can just dismiss a movie becuase it is funded by disney?
and yes the books are crazy awsome (ask [Wison Ind] or Arce)
if you cange your mind......call me.....

What's wrong with Disney? Aladdin, Hercules, and A Goofy Movie are some of the best movies ever, animated or not.GyroVorbis wrote:That's what I was thinking. I agree with you Drakor. It looks like a pretty good, but I haven't read the books.

Yes, but disney has sunk really low the past last couple of years.FredDibnah wrote:

All they do now are remakes of the classics in new spiffy boxes.
The books are great but Douglas is dead now and for all we know they waited for him to die to botch the movie.

I don't hate on Disney, but I agree that they suck ass nowadays. I still to this day like Lion King, Hercules, and several others.

Well I just saw it and my verdict is:
The book was much more in depth but it would have been really hard to reproduce all of it in the span of 2 hours. Thus the movie followed a slightly different story than the book, otherwise the movie was ok and I will be buying it on dvd regardless.
