Anyways, during a dev session with the rest of the team last night I began working on making the Engine/Toolkit look more inviting to an outside artist. I tend to do a lot of artwork in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator primarily) and I find it to be a very pleasing envorniment to work in (and it's basically the industry standard  ), so I decided to take elements I liked from those applications and try to adapt them to the Toolkit. Without anymore filler, I focused on the layer view my brother had already been working on with Falco to make look more appealing (the focus of the majority of this thread). Here is a concept/mockup view of what I thought.
All the little 16 x 16 images have cool mouse rollovers and I kept Jarrod saucy looking eyeballs. I plan to work with Jarrod and Falco by offering my input and mocking up concepts for all the views in the Toolkit. I'm going to try and make it as artist friendly as possible and work off the ideas that everyone in the development thread has thrown out there. Welcome the New Year friends!
